Inspired by my fellow students on the MSc, I tested out the Voki speaking avatar creation. Quite interesting, and while I personally find it is a gimmick, I realise that I am a cynical and crusty old so-and-so, who thinks that almost anything is a gimmick, and thus one shouldn’t mind me.
I can see potential here for distance learners, if used sparingly and with good reason.
